Navigating Motherhood

Navigating Motherhood is the Postnatal Course I feel EVERY Mother needs. It is the
only course that caters for the mother and not the baby. The 4th Trimester course is
aimed at supporting postnatal Mothers with babies from birth to approximately 6
months, but the upper age limit is very flexible. If a mother wants to join us, she will
never be turned away.

I feel society has become too busy, too focused on ‘doing’ and wearing it as a badge
of honour. The busier we are, the more we do, the more we feel we have achieved,
and this is madness! Women, especially mothers, are dragged into this cycle,
believing they constantly need to be busy, either at home or by enrolling their little
ones in every available class from a very young age.

I want to offer women a different vision, one where they’re at the top of their priority
list, because if we don’t prioritise ourselves, sadly, no one else will. Our families may
love, respect, and honour us, but they often let us keep going until we drop. Society
pressures us to hide our struggles, making us see asking for help as defeat or
weakness. But it really isn’t. It’s recognising our limits and also allowing ourselves to
say ‘no’ to things without feeling awkward in any way.

My goal is for every mother to feel empowered, balanced, and fulfilled. Confident in
her instincts and at peace with her choices, knowing that prioritising her well-being is
the greatest gift she can give herself and her family.

I want to remind women that self-compassion is essential. Honouring their own
needs is not just a strength, it’s a vital act of love for themselves and their families.
The bonuses of this will ripple through the family and each member of that family will
benefit. It really is like putting your oxygen mask on before attending to the little
ones. Without us ‘surviving’ the family may well suffer, and I don’t feel I’m being
dramatic.

Together, we can create a supportive village that empowers each woman to care for
herself without guilt and find solace in knowing she’s not alone on her journey. I invite
every mother to reclaim her health and wellness, to trust in her instincts, and to
discover a path that nourishes both body and spirit.

I care because I was that mother who didn’t have the confidence, support, or self-
esteem to ask for help. I wasn’t surrounded by family who could support me and hold
space for me. I had my family very close together in age and it was so hard. I know I
didn’t always parent or Mother from a place of secure grounding, and I feel no one
should be made to feel this way.

The course runs over 6 weeks, and I have made sure the speakers that attend are top of
their game, who I have a lot of respect for and who I turn to for advice when I need it for
my clients. They have been chosen to support mothers in a variety of different ways to
make their lives that little bit easier. The course is about imparting their knowledge but also giving the mothers the time to ask questions knowing that each Therapist is there to help them with no judging at all.

We are blessed to have what I feel is the best of the best. This is a 6-week course
running from 10:30am for either 1 hour or 1.5 hours depending on the speaker or
speakers. The mums join a WhatsApp group just for them to support one another, get to
know one another and find their ‘village’.

Limited parking is available on site or close by. Drinks and snacks are supplied, and
hugs are given free when required…along with understanding and love. This is very
much a friendly, supportive non-judgemental group.
